Buyers Notes
John Neal rates Sabres 3 of 5: very pretty, but modest quality with limited tankage and storage. Its capsize screen value of 2.01 is just over the usual offshore guideline.
Blue Water Sailing’s review of the later Sabre 426 notes that the 426 was inspired by the 1996 Sabre 402, and that Sabre wanted it to sail like a 402. On the 402 the engine sits amidships in an insulated box off the galley, and the head is aft. The 426 moved the engine under the companionway steps and the head forward.
