warns⚙ lightning damage⚙ through-hulls

Owner's overview of a lightning strike on his 1989 Passport 41, hauled out about a month and a half earlier. Bronze through-hulls, mostly on the starboard side, show blown paint and scorch marks that lead to the jack stands, one trail traveling two and a half to three feet. The owner notes the antifouling is heavily copper and thinks that may have spread the charge.

warns⚙ lightning damage⚙ hull⚙ chainplates

On the port side one through-hull is damaged and the strike actually blew a hole through the hull between the forward and intermediate chainplates. The owner describes damage about an inch across, bubbled out to maybe 2 inches. He says the radar is fried and the original chainplates have not yet been checked for damage.
