Overview
The Gladiateur 33 is a Holman & Pye design built by Wauquiez in France from 1977 to 1986, with 299 completed.
Design and Construction
sailboatdata.com lists a fin keel with a skeg-hung rudder, 32.83 ft overall on a 27.25 ft waterline, 11 ft of beam and 6 ft of draft. Displacement is 11,000 lb with 4,800 lb of ballast, and the masthead sloop carries about 517 sq ft. An owner describes the hull as solid fiberglass with every bulkhead tabbed to the hull, and the rudder as hung on a full skeg.
Buyers Notes
John Neal rates it 1 of 5: sturdy and Wauquiez-built, but with a small interior and cockpit and little tankage for long passages.
